Hey guys..
The reason that forced me to write this post is that there are many misconceptions among the people when it comes to buying a compact camera. It may not be a problem, but by knowing what we're buying makes the deal a better one..
Thanks to the drastic improvement of technology, we have got so many brands and so many models to choose from.
Here's a list of things to consider before buying a new Digital camera..
Now, you've decided to buy a camera. But you can't storm into a shop to make your buy. The first step is to decide a budget. This isn't a big issue. Today, everyone can afford a camera.
A few thousand bucks can get you a good one.
But if you wish to experiment a lot with it, look for one that has a Manual mode. It may cost just within 10,000 but it's worth. Nevertheless, you get good quality photos and even HD video recording in some of them.
How many megapixels do you need?
Really, how many MPs do you need?? More megapixels does not necessarily mean more quality. Unless you really consider printing your photos at large sizes, you shouldn't worry about megapixels.
But the one good thing about more megapixels is that you wont lose quality even if you zoom into the photograph.
For casual and normal usage, 8 to 12 megapixels are more than enough.
Did you know??
Optical zoom and digital zoom
Let's keep this simple. Optical zoom is where the lens change it's position to alter the focal length.
Digital zoom is just similar to how you zoom into pictures in your computer. Now for a good camera, optical zoom should be greater. Only then, the images will be crisp and focused properly.
AA Batteries .vs. Lithium ion
AA batteries run out pretty quickly, but they're cheaper and you can keep a lot of batteries for backup.
Li batteries last long but are pretty expensive. If you ask me, I would go for AA batteries. It may be because I haven't used Li. But it's your choice.
The extras..
Do not forget about other stuff like memory cards, extra batteries, straps, pouch etc. If you're lucky enough, you may get it with your camera, or else you may have to buy it yourself..
Read a lot of reviews and try using the camera if you get a chance.. "Do not judge a book by it's cover.." You can even make your buy online, but don't get cheated..
That's all for now..All the best people!
